People Team Internal Comms blueprint

Purpose

To keep the organization informed and engaged with People Team updates, initiatives, closing the loop on surveys, and key events using Loom, Slack, and email.

Communication Channels

1. Wiki/Confluence/Notion Hub
   • Link: People Team Wiki
   • Content:

     • Public People Roadmap

       • Simple example. Show people what you’re working on as a team and why.

       

     • Process/Policy Updates

     • OKR Progress

     • Capacity (BAU vs Initiatives/OKR work)

     • Key Events Calendar

     • Survey and Pulse Insights

2. Loom Videos
   • Use Cases:
     • Monthly updates on key initiatives
     • Walkthroughs of new policies or survey results
   • Distribution:
     • Share links in Slack and email summaries.
3. Slack
   • Channels:
     • #people-team-updates: Daily or weekly updates on key initiatives.
     • #okrs: Dedicated org wide channel for sharing OKR progress bi-monthly
   • Best Practices:
     • Pin important messages and links to your Wiki for easy access.
     • Use threads for discussions to keep channels organized.
4. Email
   • Frequency: Monthly newsletters
   • Content:
     • Highlights of key initiatives, policy updates, and survey results.
     • Upcoming events and key dates.
     • Links to relevant Loom videos and Notion pages.

   • Frequency: As needed, summarized in monthly newsletters.

   • Format: Calendar view in Wiki, shared via Slack reminders.
   • Frequency: Weekly reminders for upcoming events and deadlines.
