Sharing business metrics transparently with your team builds trust over time, and also adds valuable context if provided. Perception can be more powerful than reality, so using metrics to help tell a story, and build some understanding around the numbers people see is super helpful.
Important: Tell people ‘why’ you are sharing these. Why you are sharing the ones that you are, and possibly why some aren’t shared. And also be sure to add as much context as you can behind the numbers. Data alone is not enough.
