Under the Equality Act 2010, we have a duty to make reasonable adjustments where a provision, criterion, practice, physical feature, or the absence of an auxiliary aid puts a disabled person at a substantial disadvantage compared to a non-disabled person.
A person is disabled under the Act if they have a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on their ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.
π‘ Important: You do not need a formal diagnosis to request an adjustment. We take a needs-led approach and will not require medical evidence as a precondition for considering a request.
